Pemsa renews its official ETIM International certification for its product catalogues

The company, which recently updated its digital product information to version 9.0 of the ETIM Classification, continues to enhance its content to facilitate the development of its customers eCommerce platforms.

For several months now, Pemsa has made its product systems information available and updated in the BMEcat standard format, including version 9.0 of the ETIM Classification, the international standard model for technical product data classification.

This BMEcat includes the following types of information:

  • Trade prices of product systems, cable trays and conduits.
  • Updated groups of sales tariffs.
  • Logistic information on packaging including weights, dimensions, primary packaging volume, and pallet information.
  • Product image information and installation details by reference.
  • Technical specifications, dimensions, finishes, classification, etc.
  • Descriptions by references.
  • Links to product pages in the Online Catalogue, technical data sheets, and product certificates.

This BMEcat has been re-evaluated by ETIM International, endorsing its correct structure based on ETIM standards and the quality of its data. This way, Pemsa has renewed the certification that provides users with a guarantee for its implementation in their systems, product databases or eCommerce platforms.

Pemsa is a part of ETIM Spain, collaborating in the development of specifications and changes for this standardised international product classification through participation in the specific Cable Management Systems group.

ETIM Spain is a project born within the Electronet Platform, a society constituted equally by Adime (Association of Electrical Material Distributors) and AFME (Association of Electrical Material Manufacturers). Both associations represent the majority of distributors and manufacturers in the electrical material sector in Spain. Its objective is to develop and manage the standard model for technical product data classification in this country.

Its latest version, 9.0, is evidence of the models dynamism and adaptation to market realities, as demonstrated by the 4879 Request For Change (RFC) submissions proposed by both ETIM International and participating national companies and delegations in the ETIM project.

ETIM certifications have become a key point in the evolution of the sector, as they establish even higher standards of quality and information compatibility.
